Incredible, delicious espresso made quickly!
I purchased the 100ml larger tank separately, so to be fair, my review reflects my ability to pull much longer espresso shots. I have a "tiny living" situation and was looking for a space-saving espresso machine and stumbled upon this one. After I learned the hard way not to overfill the water/coffee and not to tamp the grounds, I developed a pretty good rhythm for quickly making yummy longshots. I drink anywhere from 3 to 6 of them a day! I don't buy particularly nice coffee, just Costco-in-a-can, which I then grind finer. Clean up is a breeze, and it has a pretty small footprint on my counter. I have easily made at least 50 to 60 shots in the few weeks I've had this, and it seems to be holding up well! It dribbles a little water here and there through the process, but that's probably me going a little faster than I should. Some may not like that it doesn't appear to be BPA free, but with coffee this decadent I cannot begin to complain! Longshots with this seem to be almost 1/3 crema if that is important to you... It is to me! I can't recommend this highly enough, but especially if you go to their website and pickup the larger 100ml tank, which is about 25 dollars.

Sweet mother of god - I am in LOVE with ...
Sweet mother of god - I am in LOVE with this thing. I have used it countless times at my office since purchasing it. I will admit, it's not the cheapest.. but it is durable and has held up almost a year for me. I've even accidentally loaded a bit too much in it, and as a result it was harder to pump. It's not difficult to realize when you're going to ruin something, so just be sure that if something feels wrong with it, you don't force it.

Easy to use, tiny, and easy to clean.
Confusing to use at first. But, great product. I just use cheap espresso, level off the grinds without patting it down too much, screw it together, fill the water tank, and start pressing it out. It doesn't quite do a shot, but I'll go ahead and press another tank through and it yields a nice little strong cup of coffeespresso. Then I add a little half ounce shot of creamer to it and it's good to go. Then you just take the cap off, take out the espresso pod, wipe it out with your finger real quick, and rinse it with water. Besides being hard to keep your espresso warm, this is a great device which is compact and easy to pack with the little non perishable creamers to take in a bag to work or school, on trips, or especially back packing where size matters. I have noticed the top is an oval an the espresso cap doesn't really snap on so if you buy this you 100% run the risk of having to return it to get a good one. Kind of sad with how expensive these are. But I personally have had a good experience with it. I think I've owned this for a year now.

Love this thing!
This works so well for camping for a quick coffee craving! Took this camping over the weekend and used it few times at the office. Depending on the grinds you use, its good for a light single espresso shot or if you reuse the same grinds and purge three capfuls of water through the filter, you'll get a full cup of coffee. Works great without lugging a glass press around in your backpacking or camp gear! Some folks probably won't like having to pump and "work" this much for coffee, but convenience in form factor and size are the strongest attributes this unit has to offer. Easy to clean and store away with the retractable priming handle. My only gripe with this is the drink cup is just pressed in and can knocked off easily while the water reserve cup is nicely twisted on with locking detents.

Nice unit
I needed something to take to work with me and this was it. Tried it out a couple times since I have gotten it and it makes pretty decent espresso style coffee. Obviously you're not getting true espresso, but it is pretty close depending on the grind you use and how you use it. I followed the tips in the instructions --Run hot water through the unit first to preheat all the components, then run it through your grinds quickly. Got better results than the first trial run. Only issue I have with the unit itself is the espresso cup it comes with does not click onto the unit very well and comes off very easily. Not a big deal, kind of a pain but it does not impact the functionality of the unit.

Quick brewing, Awesome coffee
Love this espresso maker! Bought this as a supplement to my Chemex and am glad I did. This is super quick and easy. I do wish the cleanup was a little easier since water gets trapped inside the head after each use, but still a great product. I bring this to the office and use it on a daily basis. We have two other automatic machines here, both of which make espresso, and I prefer this one. Be sure to use really hot water because it cools down quite a bit when it passes through the Minipresso. I found running hot water through a cycle first not only helps the coffee retain more heat, but also creates a much thicker crema. Make sure you have the right beans though if you really want to get the most out of it. I am thoroughly enjoying the Minipresso and would recommend it as a supplement to a traditional coffee maker.

MiniPresso vs HandPresso
I literally cannot function without espresso, I need to drink three or four every day otherwise I'm grumpy. A year ago I got the Minipresso GR for Christmas. It's been with me around the Oregon coast, Grand Canyon, Koh Phangan, Yosemite... always making great espresso with loads of delicious crema, comparable to what my Krups machine at home makes. The MiniPresso broke after six months, so I bought another. The second one also broke after six months, so I decided to try the competing HandPresso instead. It's a bit more expensive than this product, and on paper the HandPresso sounds like it should be better -- 16 bars pressure versus I think 6 bar on the trusty Minipresso, plus you can tamp coffee for the Handpresso whereas you can't tamp with the Minipresso. It also looks a little fancier, although when using it you look like you're working out with a ShakeWeight, if you catch my drift. After a few uses, I returned the HandPresso. The coffee it makes just wasn't up to my standards. To me, it's like a strong filter coffee, or something from a French press, and it never produced much crema. Like going to a backwater tea-house and asking for an espresso, and you get a sort of thin, slightly bitter giant cup of dark brown water with bubbles on top, versus going to a downtown coffeeshop where every time you get a tiny, intense shot of smooth black tar topped with shining golden crema. Whilst it breaks far too often (and the US importer is unresponsive to its warranty obligations), I still recommend this product instead of the HandPresso, if you're trying to choose between the two.

Surprisingly good!
We don't travel with this, rather, we just use it at home for an espresso shot needed here and there. It is a bit fussy to make two in a row with the rinsing between but it yields delicious shots of espresso so it's worth it.

Greatest Purchase of 2016
I just need to express how obsessed I am with this espresso machine. I was so sick of either buying terrible coffee at dunkin or starbucks or over paying at local coffee shops. This has saved me from late nights, early mornings and mid-day sleepies at work. I recommend this to anyone who is a bit of a coffee snob or just doesn't feel like paying for over priced joe everyday. This would also just be a cool gift to a coffee lover for sure.

Makes great espresso
I am going to have to give this little thing 5 stars because it is just so freaking awesome. Yes, it has some hang ups...like the plunger sticks every once in a while and the final product isn't lip searingly hot. But..if you stop to take a look at the reality of the brilliance behind this product You can over look some small mechanical issues. I use this little jewel everyday and make everyone extremely jealous at work. I might as well be a sorcerer when I pull this thing out. It makes a perfectly delicious, creamy shot of espresso that has made me the popular kid at work. The instructions that come with it are spot on and easy to follow. The whole little system is compact and is easy to tote around. Work coffee is horrible but this is a game changer. So easy to use and makes a great little shot of espresso.
